Vietnams new Visa Policy

From July 1, 2023, Vietnam has put into effect a key change to increase its appeal as a tourist destination, by discarding the former rule of a 30-day gap between two entries. This means that visitors from visa-free countries can exit and return to Vietnam immediately, bypassing the earlier 30-day standstill period.

This noteworthy reform benefits citizens of 25 countries, largely those from an extensive range of Western European nations such as Germany, France, the UK, all Scandinavian countries, Spain, and Italy. These travelers can now embark on a journey to Vietnam without the administrative load of securing a visa.

In the past, the mandatory 30-day waiting period often dissuaded many luxury travelers from including Vietnam on their travel itinerary.

This improvement signifies a considerable leap forward for Vietnam in the realm of tourism development. The experience of traveling to this mesmerizing Southeast Asian country and the potential for immediate re-entry has been greatly streamlined and simplified.

This forward-thinking adjustment will undoubtedly lift Vietnam’s position on the must-visit list for many travelers. It’s a triumph for the nation’s tourism industry and a welcoming signal for travelers worldwide to delve into Vietnam’s vibrant culture, rich history, and breathtaking landscapes without any unnecessary interruptions.

The old Visa rule was a significant obstacle to the country’s aspiration of attracting global tourists. Thankfully, this old requirement is now history.
